The Neurologist is responsible for direct patient care in the area that s/he is assigned.
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND CREDENTIALS
- Graduate of an accredited medical school
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Unencumbered license to practice as a physician in the State of Ohio required.
- Graduate of an approved residency program is his or her specialty
- Board certification from a national accrediting body in his or her specialty or verification that he/she has met the requirements to apply for board certification.
- Board certification must occur within the time frame established in the Medical Staff Bylaws.
- Post residency (not including fellowship training) clinical experience preferred in specialty.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides care per the privileges granted by the Board of Trustees.
- Completes medical records per the requirements of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations.
- Provides consultation services to the medical staff of Knox Community Hospital when requested.
- Participates in medical staff committees and, or meetings of the medical staff as required in the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations.
- Participates in quality of care and peer review activities per the requirements of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with team members, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Available to assist in the orientation and training of new and tenured personnel.
- Utilizes measures to promote and maintain patient, visitor, and personnel safety.
- Maintains patient, employee, physician, and organization confidentiality; respects the rights, privacy, and property of others.
