Knox Community Hospital Offers
Free Colon Cancer Screening Kits
March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Colorectal cancer which occurs in the colon and rectum, is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. Knox Community Hospital wants to highlight prevention, diagnosis and early treatment of this disease by offering free colon cancer screening kits during the month of March. Kits will be available at The Center for Cancer Care in the Knox Medical Pavilion, Monday-Friday from 8 am – 4 pm.
To make the kits easily available throughout the county, KCH is partnering with the area fire stations;
kits can be picked up at the following stations during the listed times.

Centerburg M-F from 8a-4p
Danville March 8, 15,& 22 from 9a-1p
Fredericktown M-F from 7a-5p
Gambier March 16 & 23 from 1p-3p
Homer Wednesdays from 7p-9p, Sundays from 9a-noon
Howard March 8, 15 & 22 from 9a-1p
Mount Vernon, 200 W. Gambier Street, M-F from 8a-4pm

Completed kits are to be returned to the Knox Community Hospital Laboratory in the main hospital, M-F from 7a-5:30p.
