Cataracts Subject of December HealthTalk Lecture
What is a cataract and how common are they? A cataract is a clouding of the lens in the eye that affects vision. Cataracts are very common in older people; by the age of 80, more than half of all Americans either have a cataract or have had cataract surgery.
If you would like to learn more about cataracts, the December 11th HealthTalk is your opportunity! Dr. Chad Kauffman will be the featured speaker. Beginning at 7 pm, the lecture will be held in the cafeteria at Knox Community Hospital.

Dr. Kauffman recently joined the staff of Central Ohio Eye Surgeons, located at 1355 Yauger Road in Mount Vernon. He is on the staff of Knox Community Hospital.

There is no charge to attend HealthTalk but pre-registration is requested. Please call 393-9621 to register. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn about cataracts and how to treat them.
