In September at KCH

Pathway to Change is a program designed to help decrease modifiable risk factors by weight reduction through education and support. A new session will be starting on Wednesday, September 12, at 5:30 pm. Lectures will be presented by dietitians, RN’s and exercise physiologists.

The program is held weekly beginning September 12, 2007 from 5:30-6:30; offered at the Center for Rehabilitation on Wellness at 1375 Yauger Road, the Pathway program offers area residents access to the health professionals at Knox Community Hospital. In addition to diet information and exercise instruction, there is a support component to the program. Some of the topics covered during the 13 weeks deal with setting realistic goals, the role of eating in weight management, the health benefits of physical activity and body size acceptance. There will also be exercise sessions and a cooking demonstration.

This program is a sensible approach to managing weight through healthy diet and exercise.
There is a fee for the program; for more information call Jason Mentzer, Wellness Coordinator at
