Stress Cardiolite



This stress test requires you to walk on a treadmill. In order to perform the test, an IV (intravenous) will be started and a small amount of Cardiolite (radioactive material) is injected through the IV. A special camera will be taking pictures of your heart before and after the exercise portion of your test.
  • Expect to be at the hospital for approximately 3 to 4 hours
  • You may eat a light breakfast
  • No caffeine for 24 hours prior to testing
  • No smoking
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing
  • Please wear comfortable walking shoes
  • Do not take beta blocker medications for 24 hours prior to test
  • You must weigh less than 350 pounds
  • You must be able to walk on a treadmill for this test
