Rehabilitation & Wellness Center
The Center for Rehabilitation & Wellness offers a full range of services and programs in the area of physical and occupational therapies, speech language therapy, audiology services, occupational rehabilitation, sports injury rehabilitation, and an expanding choice of wellness and fitness programs and classes.
While The Center for Rehabilitation and Wellness offers a full range of services, there are broader categories of care offered that are a variety of less familiar, but highly important, services including specialized evaluation and treatment for balance disorders, bowel and bladder health, swallowing disorder treatment for adults and infants, aquatic therapy, massage therapy, nutritional consultation, work conditioning and simulation, and wound care.
For physicians, these comprehensive services mean that they can refer patients with the knowledge that they’ll have access to an exceptionally high level of care and that the Center for Rehabilitation & Wellness staff will maintain regular communications with referring physicians to make sure their plan of care is carried out appropriately. Businesses have the confidence of knowing that the Center is a single source for a complete range of occupational health including accreditation in transitional work program development.
Area residents enjoy the peace of mind of having a full continuum of care — from the acute stage of an illness or injury through rehabilitation to fitness and wellness — close to their homes and close to their families.

Beyond the new building itself, however, what makes the Center a true community health resource is the team of therapists, managers, directors, aides and assistants, instructors, and other staff who form the human core of its services.
Virtually all aspects of health care include a personalized approach. But the relationship that develops between those who provide care and those who receive it in the area of rehabilitation is one of the strongest in the field of medicine. According to Rehabilitation & Wellness Director Debbie Link, MS, PT, part of the reason for the close relationship that develops is a function of time. “We spend at least 30 minutes to an hour with every patient during each session,” Debbie says. But while the extended hours of working toward the same goals together are important, Debbie sees another distinction. “Our objective is to help our patients return, on the highest possible level, to some aspect of their life or work that’s been taken from them because of an illness or injury. As a result, the time we spend talking about their concerns and hopes and other personal issues not only builds mutual trust, it’s also a very real component of the treatment plan.”
