Krishnan Marar, MD joins Knox Cardiology Associates
Knox Community Hospital is pleased to welcome Krishnan Marar, MD to our staff. Dr. Marar completed his cardiology training at the Ohio State University. Prior to that time, he was a staff attending physician in cardiology at University Hospital Medical Center in Columbus for five years. Preceding this, he practiced medicine at the Kettering General Hospital in England. He is a board certified physician joining Knox Cardiology Associates.
The fact that cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death and disability is what prompted Dr. Marar to become a cardiologist. Fortunately, there is a wide range of diagnostic tools and effective medications available to help combat the problem of cardiovascular disease. “My hope is to apply all this in a timely manner to help patients avoid the major complications of this disease,” stated Dr. Marar. “I also strongly believe that cardiac disease, in many cases, is a preventable problem, and that patient education is the key in reducing the incidence of this problem in the community.”
Dr. Marar and his wife, also a physician, are the parents of two daughters.
