Chad Kauffman, DO Joins Central Ohio Eye Surgeons
New to our community and joining the practice of Central Ohio Eye Surgeons is Chad R. Kauffman, DO. Dr. Kauffman is a graduate of Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at Grandview Hospital; he received his undergraduate degree from Goshen College in Indiana.
Dr. Kauffman decided to pursue the medical field after spending time working as an orderly in a hospital emergency department. He intended to be a physical therapist, but after working closely with the ER physicians and staff, he was sure he wanted to go to medical school. The technical aspect of ophthalmology attracted him, whether in the operating room or in the office. “On a personal level, I enjoy the unique opportunity physicians have to get to know their patients while partnering with them to treat their medical conditions,” stated Dr. Kauffman.
Dr. Kauffman grew up on a farm, in a rural community and appreciates the lifestyle advantages of living and working in a community such as ours. The opportunity to join Central Ohio Eye Surgeons seemed like an especially good fit.
Dr. Kauffman and his wife, Kristi, are the parents of two small children.
