The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides 24-hour care
to patients of Knox and surrounding counties.

The Intensive Care Stepdown Unit is a multidisciplinary group of competent, compassionate, professional individuals that provide comprehensive care and education for critically ill and intermediate patients and their families both during times of medical need, emergency and at the end of life to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The ICU consists of 12 monitored beds, 8 ICU beds, and 4 stepdown beds. The nursing staff in the ICU is specially trained in the care of critically ill and intermediate patients and all members are Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified. We care for critically ill patients including cardiac, respiratory, surgical, and stroke patients. We work together as a team to provide the highest quality patient care.
